The last bite matters
Ask people when they start eating and most can tell you. Ask when they stop, and the answer gets fuzzy.

When we asked adults to photograph everything they ate and drank with a smartphone app, more than half spread their eating across 15 hours or more. The last snack often came close to bedtime.
In the evening your body is preparing for sleep, and digestion is not at its best. Try closing the kitchen two or three hours before bed. It is a small change, and many people notice the difference within a week or two.
