A walk after dinner
If you eat late, one of the kindest things you can do for your body is to move a little afterwards.
Working muscles take up glucose. A ten- or fifteen-minute walk after a meal can soften the rise in blood sugar that follows it.
It does not have to be formal exercise. Walk the dog, walk to a neighbour’s house, or clear the table slowly.
